DIY Blue and White Pumpkins

As many of you do, I love ALL things blue and white. A couple of years ago, I marbled some ghost (white) pumpkins much in the same way that many of us marble Easter eggs. I fluffed them up and gave them out as party favors for a friend's birthday lunch. The ladies had a "fit" over them, so I decided to make them again this year, just for fun.
Supplies Needed:
Blue Nail Polish
Pumpkins (real or faux). These are real and purchased at Kroger
Stir Stick
Plastic container filled 3/4 full of lukewarm water. (cold water causes the polish to sink)
Fill the container almost full with the lukewarm water and add 6 to 8 drops of the blue polish. Use the stick to stir the polish, keeping it on the surface of the water.
Dip the pumpkin in the water and swirl it about. You can make it as colorful as you wish.
If you need to add more polish, that's fine too.
Remove and dry on wax paper for 15 minutes.
Notice in the back of this picture on the right hand side, I marbled a faux pumpkin that I found in my fall stash. Real or faux marble about the same. I just prefer the real, I am all
about those long stems. You can always add a little fluff to your pumpkins. I bought the ribbon, flowers and leaves at Hobby Lobby.
Voila! I did use the glue gun to attach the flowers and leaves.
When I made these as party favors, I attached a cellophane bag that included some Halloween tissues and a mini hand sanitizer. They were a big hit, cheap and cheerful, plus they added so much to the restaurant's table.
